4 Sources Of Stress (Part 4)

The fourth source of stress comes from neglecting our time with God. The early morning is the time I like best. But many people can’t do that because of their work schedule. You have to find the time that works best for you. For some, it is during their commute time going to work. Can you imagine what it would be like if everyone did that? With the increasing problem with road rage, what would happen if everyone in traffic would roll up their window, put on a worship CD and get into the presence of God? You would realize that you are in a wonderful four seat container with you and God, and He loves to take rides with you. How life changing would it be to turn that vehicle into a worship cathedral. The fact is that there is no real peace apart from the Prince of Peace. It is our personal time with God that calms our spirit and reduces the pressures of stress and anxiety. It is in His presence that we transfer the weight of our problems to his shoulders and give Him our worries. Isaiah 26:3says. “You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.”

It is when we spend time with Him that we begin to see things from His perspective. That is why we can trust in Him. Here is how you start. Make the decision to build your busy schedule around fellowship and the Word of God instead of trying to fit your time with him into your busy schedule.

God is a God of order. He loves the thought of having a standing appointment each day with you. Make a daily appointment with God. It will lower your stress level.
